Washington Physical Therapy

Our Practice

Founded in 1997, Washington Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation has been the premier destination for orthopedic and sports medicine on the Eastside. For two decades we have helped thousands of athletes and patients achieve their goals of health, fitness, and recovery. Over the years we have had the pleasure of working with the Seattle Sounders, Seattle Thunderbirds, numerous fire departments, and the Washington State Firefighter Academy. Our staff members have guest lectured at schools, Google, the City of Kirkland, travelled to Las Vegas to work with professional fighters, and even written a book. We specialize in sports injuries, car accidents, workers compensation, concussions, exercise prescription, diet and exercise, post-surgical and pre-surgical rehabilitation.

Specialized programs include ImPACT neurocognitive concussion testing, post-concussion rehabilitation, DXA body composition testing, individualized exercise prescription, and Phits custom 3D printed orthotics.

Located in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland, we provide a central location to serve patients in Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Bothell, Woodinville, Seattle, and beyond.

Evidence Based and Patient Focused

We believe in Evidence Based physical therapy using the latest and most proven treatments to assist our patients in achieving their goals. However, at the same time we understand that each patient is unique and should have a treatment plan that is individualized.

As a profession, Physical therapists believe in evidence-based practice (EBP) as a key principal in providing the highest quality care to our patients. This is a fundamental belief held by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and our staff. EBP revolves around the synthesis of current research, physical therapist expertise, and patient beliefs and values. It our expertise at Washington Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation that enables us to practice using the most up to date research within the framework of an individual patient.

Clinical decision making and judgement are key principals that we apply within the scope of current research all while keeping in mind the individual patient’s goals and values. It is this clinician/patient relationship that provides the foundation upon which we apply the principals of best practice and evidence based practice to help our patients succeed.
